for your beach wedding or event!
There is only one before photo, which was from the real estate listing before we bought the house! I realize now that I need to take pictures of both before and the process along the way! So goes the life a new blogger!
This bathroom services the two bedrooms on one side of the house. It is also the bathroom that is closest to the kitchen, so guests use it. So this little space has to perform many tasks while still looking good!
Before we moved in we had the entire interior of the house painted a color named "Alpaca" by Sherwin Williams. It's a wonderful neutral gray, not too brown and not too blue.
This bathroom had a giant soffit over the sink, with two recessed lights in it. We removed the soffit entirely, as well as the large glass mirror that was glued to the wall. It really opened up the space and took away that dated 90's feel it had going on.
I got the Lilly Pulitzer look alike shower curtain (in Let's Cha Cha print) from an Etsy store named "Love of Lilly". She was able to make it in a custom length for me, I needed one that was 90" long. She also created the hand towel. She has coordinating rugs, but I thought this space was too smaller THAT much Lilly! I highly recommend her work! The custom shower curtain and the hand towel (with shipping) were $85. The candle behind the toilet is from Lilly Pulitzer.
Some day I plan on putting floating shelves for more storage (notice the cart next the toilet filled with products that my younger daughter uses).
I also want to replace the counter top with granite and a new faucet. I am currently debating the pros and cons of just removing the entire cabinet and getting a free standing one. When we first moved in, we painted the existing cabinet a dark gray color. I used a paint from Lowe's Valspar Reserve Eggshell Latex Interior Paint and Primer in One. It's hard to see in the before photo, but it was an awful shade of medium oak with heavy grain patterns.
Here are some more after photos:
We got the light fixture at Lowe's, it was only $89.
Here's a link to it:
We found the mirror at HomeGoods, I believe it was on clearance for $60. I love HomeGoods, you never know what you're going to find!
As you can see, it's a pretty small bathroom! But we feel the changes we have made so far have made a big improvement! Check back to see what develops!
